Matt Bliss' Published Sports Photos

Recently I have been very fortunate to have my work published nationally. Along with ESPN, USA Today, and Sports Illustrated, my photos have also been featured in the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the Sandusky Register (link 1, link 2). All of the many hours of shooting and post-processing are beginning to pay off!

ESPN.com

An article about Kent State's new Men's Basketball Head Coach Rob Senderoff (written by Dana O'Neil) was featured on ESPN.com. This marks my first published photo with ESPN. In fact, two photos I have taken of Senderoff were featured in the article, one on the mainpage and one within the article. (Link to article)

 USA Today

A photo I shot during Kent State Senior Gymnast Christina Lenny was published in USA Today (April 14th, 2011 edition). The article (written by Andy Gardiner) highlighted the KSU Gymnastics Team and their first appearance to the finals of the NCAA Women's Championship. The photo has the description of her stretching before competition. However, since I did not caption the photo this was incorrect. This shot depicts one of the poses during Lenny's Floor Exercise routine. (Link to article)

Sports Illustrated

One of my photos has recently been published in Sports Illustrated. The photo is on page 52 of the Super Bowl XLV issue (February 14th Edition) which features Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson of the Green Bay Packers on the cover (photograph by Robert Peck). The article my photo of Julian Sullinger was published in was titled "A Prodigy in the Paint" and written by Michael Rosenberg. The article highlights Ohio State freshman Jared Sullinger, Julian's younger brother.
